For centuries many different cultures all around the world have relied heavily on herbal remedies for the treatment of a wide range of diseases and illnesses. While they may not have necessarily known the exact reasons why these herbs were so effective, none the less they did work as traditional culture claimed they did.

One of these herbs is a spice called Cardamom, and for many, many years people would make a tea from the seeds of the Cardamom plant and use it as a natural treatment for high blood pressure. As it turns out there are some health benefits derived from drinking a cup a day of Cardamom tea.

The compounds act as a diuretic which helps to eliminate excess amounts of water in the body naturally. By reducing the excess water, especially in and around the heart, this will help to lower the blood pressure without having to rely on prescription blood pressure medicines.
