The Health Impacts of Water on Human Beings

The human DNA is unique to every human being. But in every human being, 70% of the body mass is water. Our blood plasma is made up of 90% of water which carries digestive enzymes in our digestive systems. It is also water that removes toxins and impurities from our bodies through mucus, sweat, urine and faecal matter. This being said, water is life, in the literal form. Although human beings can survive for weeks without food, they can only go a few days without water. Dehydration has been known to cause death.

Does water remember the pathways in our bodies?

Yes. Water molecules are organized in clusters that work as “memory cells”. Within each memory cell, there are 440,000 information panels that are responsible for the interaction with its environment, making it nature’s a single most impressionable computer. According to the late Rustom Roy, a renowned materials scientist and professor emeritus at Pennsylvania State University. Whatever water hears, sees, and feels becomes a catalyst for its change as it copies, memories, and transports information.

Does water have healing properties?

Water has long been thought of as an element with medicinal and therapeutic qualities. In the Old Testament people soaked in mineral waters for physical healing. Native Americans sat in sweat lodges as a way of cleansing the mind and the body. The modern application of water healing is a practice known as hydrotherapy. Healing using water makes a lot of sense because according to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and the bones have 31% water.
Although most people do not take enough water (an adult human is required to drink two litres or more every day), there are numerous health benefits that come from it.
1.      Our brains are made up of 73%water, and when we drink enough water, we can think clearly, concentrate and be more alert.
2.      Water has zero calories; it is, therefore, great for weight loss. Drinking water before meals will help you eat in moderation and water also increases metabolism.
3.      Water flushes toxins out of our bodies through sweat, urine, and mucus.
4.      It moisturizes your skin and leaves it feeling soft, fresh, and glowing. Drinking enough water cannot go unmentioned by dermatologists and for a good reason.
5.      It boosts your immune system and reduces your chances of getting sick.
6.      Water aids in digestion by transporting nutrients to the blood cells and prevents constipation.
7.      It helps to relieve headaches which are caused by dehydration.
8.      Drinking enough water keeps your joints lubricated and your muscles more elastic.
Drinking pure water can heal bladder infections, yeast infections, gout, hypertension, arthritis and prevent diabetes. Water is a valuable resource that most people tend to take for granted, but you should not.

Conclusion

Water is life, in every sense of the word. Our bodies cannot function without water, neither can our households. It is therefore important for us to remember the healing properties of water every time. Taking 2 litres of water daily is crucial to our health, but is spending time in or around water. The calming effects of a cold glass of water or a flowing river are enormous.
